This bag is everything I could've hoped for and more. Everything is up to standard and more - this is a product worth far more than what I paid for it. The leather is genuine, already fairly supple, and only a week into owning the bag I can tell that it's going to age beautifully. The construction speaks of the durability of the item - I have no fear of the stitching wearing through as has been the case for other leather I've owned in the past.

The bag is more spacious than I thought and the back pocket is big enough to fit a small (14") laptop - a pleasant surprise. I can fit it and its charger, a book, two water bottles, a small notepad, my wallet, and several pens without difficulty.

A few things to be aware of if you're looking to buy this bag: Every bend in the leather will form a visible crease. This is totally normal. Don't panic when light-coloured wrinkles form. The metal hardware will also create light scratches in the patina. I don't really mind this at all but I know that some people do. The back zipper is metal and can be sticky to open and close. The hidden closures are a nice feature at the front, but you need to use both hands to open them.

Overall I couldn't be more thrilled with this bag. It's the perfect size for a day downtown or for hitting the books as a student. For those who are looking for something which recalls mid-century academia, especially those who are looking for a bit more of a masculine take on a cross-body bag, this is the way to go.
